Accessibility Statement

Last updated: July 16, 2026

Mann.digital wants everyone to be able to use manndigital.ca, including people who use assistive technology. This statement describes the standard we work toward, what is in place today, where we know there are gaps, and how to tell us when something does not work for you.

1. Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This is the benchmark referenced by accessibility legislation across Canada, including the Accessible Canada Act, British Columbia’s Accessible British Columbia Act, and Ontario’s Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). Accessibility is also part of how we build client websites, and we apply the same standard to that work.

2. What is in place

  • Semantic HTML with proper landmarks, headings, and list structures so screen readers can navigate the page;
  • Full keyboard operability, including visible focus indicators on interactive elements and Escape-key dismissal of menus and dialogs;
  • ARIA labelling on navigation, dialogs, and icon-only controls, with decorative icons hidden from assistive technology;
  • Touch targets sized at a minimum of 44×44 pixels for buttons and key links;
  • Current-page indication in navigation for assistive technology (aria-current);
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images and screen-reader captions on data tables;
  • Responsive layouts that reflow without horizontal scrolling and support browser zoom up to 200%;
  • A consent banner and forms built as properly labelled, keyboard-accessible dialogs and fields.

3. Known limitations

We are aware of the following and are working on them:

  • Some decorative motion and transition effects do not yet fully respect the prefers-reduced-motion setting on every page;
  • Contrast on some translucent, glass-style surfaces is under ongoing review against the WCAG AA contrast ratios;
  • Billing and payment pages hosted by Stripe, and other third-party services we link to, are outside our direct control — we choose providers with their own accessibility commitments;
  • Portfolio pieces and archived client demos may predate our current standard.

4. How we assess

Accessibility checks are part of our development workflow: automated linting and audits, manual keyboard testing, and review of new components against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria before release. This statement is reviewed and updated as the site evolves.

5. Feedback and alternate formats
